Customer Focused

A Warranty That Works For You

We designed our warranty to provide maximum value and peace of mind, activating only when you need it to.

  • In-Service Start Date: Our warranties start on the date that you plug the repair into the machine, not when it is shipped back to you. This ensures you get the full warranty period for your active spare.
  • Full Unit Coverage: Our warranties cover the entire unit that we service, not just the specific parts we repaired or replaced.
  • Total Problem Solving: We work with our customers to provide solutions to their repair needs, whether it's the machine, a specific piece of equipment, or a process issue.

SUCCESS STORY

Beyond Warranty: A Collaborative Approach to Power Supply Reliability

The Challenge

A leading medical manufacturer relied on Magna Power Electronics SL300-5/480 power supply units to maintain critical production. When repeated failures began to occur, they turned to Industrial Repair Service, sending 6–8 units per batch — resulting in approximately $150,000 in downtime for one major production line alone.

Inspection revealed overheated electrolytic capacitors. Once operating temperatures exceeded 90°F, the electrolyte evaporated, causing internal pressure buildup and eventual rupture. Even after component replacement, intermittent failures persisted on site.

Our Solution

To uncover the root cause, the customer shared an equipment manual that enabled us to expand our internal testing protocols. Even under enhanced conditions, heat-related stress indicators persisted, prompting Industrial Repair Service to go beyond standard warranty procedures.

Our technicians, Jonathan and Brendon, performed an on-site evaluation and discovered that the power supplies were installed inside enclosures with inadequate ventilation, causing cabinet temperatures to remain above the capacitors’ rated thresholds.

Working directly with the customer, we implemented a longevity improvement plan, recommending higher-temperature-rated capacitors and improved airflow to reduce internal heat accumulation.
