On the Road with Our Sales Reps

Welcome to a day in the life of our Sales Reps! At the heart of our office, our In-Office Account Managers dedicate their day to assisting our loyal customers and solving their concerns. But the action doesn’t stop there! Our Outside Sales Representatives are on the move, meeting face-to-face with companies nationwide. Curious about what a typical day looks like for them? Let’s dive in:
Our Sales Reps day starts bright and early. They leave the house anytime between 6:45 and 7:30AM to be at an appointment by 8. The rides to these locations can span from thirty minutes to an hour and a half, and they arrive punctually in our snazzy Industrial Repair Service vans.
Appointments are booked in advance through email or phone calls. Our reps never come empty-handed; they are always providing steaming cups of coffee or freshly baked muffins for our customers, so both parties are ready to tackle any and every item that could possibly need fixing. We’re talking servo motors, valves, HMIs, you name it! This conversation can also happen over lunch and almost always ends with follow-ups about our clients’ lives because we care for them far beyond their need for repaired items.
Once the appointment is over, our reps log the item into our system, so that our Parts Shop can expect the piece of equipment’s arrival and send out a quote as soon as possible. We often explain that there’s no cost to send in an item and get tested, and if our customer prefers to hold off due to the quote number, there’s no harm done. IRS will send it right back, but due to our unbeatable prices, companies usually decide to stick with us.
Then, they’re off! Our reps drive to the next facility, often hitting up to six per day. They can span diverse industries, from plastic injection molding to sewer systems, to food processing and metal plating. Once their appointments have been completed, they head back to home base to package all the equipment collected and send it out immediately to headquarters for testing. Their day concludes around 5:30PM, sometimes later.
