Employee Spotlight: Meet Mark Harbin, Outside Sales Account Manager at Industrial Repair Service

At Industrial Repair Service (IRS), every role plays an important part in delivering the level of service our customers have come to expect. This month, we’re excited to spotlight Mark Harbin, one of our dedicated Outside Sales Account Managers based out of our headquarters.
Mark has been with Industrial Repair Service since 2014, and over the years, he has become an integral part of the team. Let’s get to know Mark a little better.
Meet Mark
As an Outside Sales Account Manager, no two days are exactly alike.
His role requires flexibility, reliability, and commitment, no matter what the day brings.
Keeping the Miles Entertaining
Long hours on the road call for good music and interesting conversations, and Mark has a few favorites that help pass the time.
When asked what he likes to listen to while driving, he shared:
“I love the The Joe Rogan Experience! Classic Rock, Joe Bonamassa, Tedeschi Trucks Band are all on my playlist!”
What Makes IRS Special
After more than a decade with the company, Mark says it’s the people who continue to make IRS a great place to work.
When asked what he finds most rewarding about working at Industrial Repair Service, he said:
“I really enjoy the people and culture at Industrial Repair Service. Working alongside such a great team makes coming to work and delivering great service to our customers even more rewarding.”
Staying Ready for the Day
Life on the road can change quickly. Routes shift, schedules adjust, and unexpected situations could happen. Mark has developed a simple approach that helps him stay prepared.
When asked what habits help him stay sharp while traveling, he shared:
“I love keeping things consistent so I can roll with the punches as the day comes!”
Advice for His Younger Self
Looking back, Mark has one piece of advice he wishes he could share with his younger self.
He said:
“I would tell him that everything happens for a reason, and if you are a good person with integrity, there’s never a reason to worry.”
A Favorite IRS Memory
Over the years, Mark has shared many experiences with his coworkers, but one event stands out above the rest.
When asked about his favorite memory at IRS, he shared:
“When we had a team event at the Atlanta Braves game! I’m a huge fan of the Braves and being able to watch it with my work family was awesome!”
Favorite Stops Along the Way
Spending so much time on the road means discovering favorite places to visit along the route.
When asked about his favorite hidden gem, Mark said:
“My favorite spot on the road is a restaurant! If I’m ever in the area, I always stop at Long Street Cafe in Gainesville, GA! Scenic mountain routes are my favorite!”
A Few Hidden Talents
Everyone has something they’re known for outside of work, and Mark is no exception.
When asked about his go-to party trick, he shared:
“I love talking about all the furniture I’ve built and shooting pool!”
Unwinding After a Busy Day
After spending the day traveling and serving customers, Mark has a favorite way to relax.
When asked how he likes to decompress, he said:
“My favorite way to decompress is to be in my garage listening to good music!”

For more than a decade, Mark has helped keep Industrial Repair Service moving. His work behind the wheel supports customers throughout the repair process and helps ensure equipment gets where it needs to go safely and on time.
