Meet Luke Hendon, our Business Development Director
At Industrial Repair Service, our people are the heart of every new initiative, project launch, and customer experience we deliver. This month, we’re excited to highlight Luke Hendon, our Business Development Director, who joined us earlier this year. He has already played a major role in expanding our digital presence and strengthening our outreach across multiple industries. Luke has led several major sales and marketing efforts, including the launch of our new IRS website and our sister company, ARM-CO.
Leading the New Website Revamp
What was the most exciting part of leading the new website revamp?
“A company’s website is often your first impression to customers. I’m excited to help optimize our first impression to better represent who we are. Also, I want to show what we’re about and how we can help our customers. Additionally, it’s been fun learning more about the history of Industrial Repair Service and the work that helped grow the business into what it is today. We added that new information to the About Us page.”
Favorite Memory at Industrial Repair Service
What has been your favorite event or memory here at Industrial Repair Service so far?
“Over the summer, the entire team would get together for summer cookouts. We would enjoy the great weather while Dave cooked burgers for everyone. It was an awesome way to spend time mingling with other departments. It also allowed us to spend time playing lawn games over burgers.”
How Luke Recharges Outside of Work
What’s your go-to way to completely recharge outside of work?
“My favorite way to recharge outside of work is camping, hiking, and climbing. When I was working in our Minnesota region, I would take rock climbing trips to Devils Lake, WI. I would also take ice climbing trips to Winona. Now that I am in our Atlanta headquarters, I like spending time in the North Georgia mountains. For the occasional big vacation, my wife, Angie, and I like to take our teardrop trailer across the country to visit different national parks.”
Something You May Not Know About Him
What’s one thing most people here might not know about you?
“Not a lot of people know that I am an amateur jalapeño farmer. I like to grow peppers in the summer to make all sorts of hot sauces to use throughout the year.”
What He Enjoys Most About IRS
What’s your favorite part about the culture at Industrial Repair Service?
“Overall, my first year at Industrial Repair Service has been a great introduction to the industry. I have really enjoyed getting to meet our customers and tour production facilities. It’s incredible to learn how things are made and what services we offer. They help keep manufacturers online, especially when these plants are right in our backyard.”
Luke’s Background & Contributions
Beyond his day-to-day leadership, Luke brings a strong foundation in business strategy and operations. He holds a BBA from the University of Georgia. He also has an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Before joining IRS, he spent five years with Deloitte, sharpening his skills in sales, project management, and process automation. These skills all support IRS’s growth into new and developing industries.
Today, Luke continues expanding our digital sales channels and supporting our Midwest region. He also helps customers better understand how industrial electronics repair, VFD troubleshooting, servo motor repair, and automation support fit into their operational goals.
Life Beyond the Office
Luke brings the same curiosity and energy to his personal life as he does to his work. He’s an avid reader, explorer of national parks, and a dedicated cat and dog dad. Whether he’s backpacking in the North Georgia mountains, planning his next road trip, or tackling an ice climbing route, Luke approaches everything with a can-do spirit.
