How do you inspire yourself to work hard each day?
The desire to have a career and not just a job. It inspires me to see people with such long work histories here. It says a lot about the company that many people want to stay in.
What’s the most rewarding thing about working at Industrial Repair Service?
Being a part of the bigger picture. Most days are so busy that we don’t stop to think of the bigger picture, but we play a part in ensuring these manufacturers can provide necessary things and make life fun or even more straightforward.
What is one important lesson or piece of advice you would give to someone starting in your position?
Just keep smiling and move on to the next call when someone hangs up on you. Don’t let it bother you.
What was the biggest challenge of transitioning from an Appointment Setter to Inside Sales?
I got so used to asking if the Account Manager could visit or pick up repairs that I had to teach my brain that wasn’t the case anymore. These are my customers, and I can slow down and get to know them more!
What’s your go-to way to unwind and recharge after a busy week?
I have a toddler, so I no longer know what recharging is. Spending time with my daughter is my favorite way to unwind. She’s such a happy, funny little girl!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
It doesn’t apply to everyone, but I was a clumsy girl. My dad would always tell me, “Don’t fall,” anytime I was going on a trip without him.
