Employee Spotlight: Getting to Know James Gillispie, Our Territory Representative in our Midwest Region

Step into the spotlight with us as we shine a light on James Gillispie, one of our incredible territory representatives in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. James, who started with Industrial Repair Service in August of this year, gives us an inside scoop on what inspires him daily, his favorite quote, and more.

What have you enjoyed about working at Industrial Repair Service so far?
Working for Industrial Repair Service has been a pleasure that’s allows me to meet different people daily and receive great support and training from the office, including Meagan Morgan.
What is one important lesson or piece of advice you would give to your younger self?
My advice to my younger self would be to do the same thing. It provided a life of having a wonderful wife, daughter, son, and my three grandkids– and, of course, my son-in-law and daughter-in-law.
If you could witness any historical event firsthand, which would you choose and why?
The historical event that I would have loved to be there would have been the day Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, the ultimate gift.
What’s a work skill you’d like to improve on?
I would love to learn more about the automation equipment used in the companies we service.
How do you inspire yourself to work hard each day?
Knowing that I have done a great job allows me to feel proud to come home to my family and be an example to others people always look up to.
What’s something about you or your family that you are proud of? (Something that makes you unique!)
I hope my family will look at me with respect and see me as a great character that they can count on.
How do you handle work-related stress and pressure?
Work stress and pressure are not much of an issue due to the fact that I am enjoying what I am doing.
What tip or trick would you offer to another newly hired driver?
My advice to a new driver would be to ask questions and be a person that enjoys meeting new people.
What’s a quote or saying you choose to live by?
The quote that I tell myself in this crazy world we live in is that “I do not have to judge people that do bad things.”
Do you have a secret talent, party trick, or random talent?
My talent is working with wood, creating art {turning wood}, designing and making furniture.
