Step into the spotlight with us as we shine a light on Adam Kheul, our Shop Manager at our Illinois location in Batavia. We’ll dive deeper into his favorite thing about Industrial Repair Service, the most important lesson he would’ve given to his younger self, his favorite type of repair to work on, and more!

Meet Adam!

What’s your favorite thing about Industrial Repair Service?

The people. There are some pretty epic speculators, demonstrators, emancipators, proclamators, and technacators here at all the locations. I think it would be one for history books if the whole company got together somewhere near or in Nashville and rented a huge cabin or five and just threw down with some hog roasts going in smokers, some kegs of golden-colored juices, some dodgeball, mud pits for the Jeepers, maybe a shooting range– oh and a petting zoo and face painting for the kiddos. Also, getting paid so I can feed my steal horse is pretty nice too.

What makes the Chicago shop special?

Nothing deters us. Not snow, not ice, not negative thirty-degree temps. There’s one goal here, to kick A$$ and take names. And Hidden Valley Ranch.

What’s your go-to party trick?

Do people still pull out tricks at parties? I like to double-dip everything. Then, sometimes, I’ll pull out a guitar and a wig, I’ll play “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn” by Poison, and then I’ll get up and leave without saying anything at all. We call that an Irish Goodbye.

What is one important lesson or piece of advice you would give to your younger self?

You should’ve invested in Microsoft, Google, Facebook, and Pizza Puffs.

If you could witness any historical event firsthand, which one would you choose and why?

Probably the Boston Tea Party. Why not? Taxes can be bloody wicked hell sometimes. Oh, and also the building of the Pyramids. I also wouldn’t have minded being able to watch Uncle Rico play football in high school.

What challenges you the most at work?

Mike’s computer.

What’s one thing that instantly makes any day better?

My wife. She’s kind of epic.

Do you have a “favorite repair” you like to work on?

“Government Jobs”

How do you deal with work stress? What’s your favorite way to decompress?

I do my best to leave my shovel at the door. I meditate. Play guitar. Mow the yard. Drink ranch. Cheers. Cha buddy.

If you were a cartoon character, which one would you be and why?

Kento: He’s aged timelessly.

We hope you enjoyed getting to know Adam a little better, and we can’t wait to share next month’s spotlight with you. Stay tuned!
