Here is a step-by-step process that our team conducted to repair the component:
- The team began with a static check, examining the bridge rectifier and converter unit (IGBT module).
- Several caps were identified as faulty and replaced. The cover was also replaced, likely due to damage or wear.
- All connections and boards were meticulously reconnected. The unit was then thoroughly cleaned to remove any debris or contaminants.
- AC 3-phase voltage was applied, and the DC voltage on the DC bus was measured.
- A factory reset was performed using the keypad, and the drive was then run without a motor to check the output voltage.
- A light bulb was used to verify that all six waves were present in the output.
- Finally, the drive was tested with an AC motor, and the output 3-phase voltage and current were checked.
- A video of the working drive was recorded, providing a record of the successful repair. After a final cleaning, the unit was prepped for shipping and ready to be returned to the customer.
