Industrial Repair Service Expands Industry Connections at MODEX 2026 and Wesco Trade Show
This April was a busy and productive month for Industrial Repair Service as the team attended multiple industry events focused on manufacturing, automation, and plant reliability. From the massive show floor at MODEX 2026 to an in-person showcase with Wesco in Linden, NJ, these events created valuable opportunities to connect with manufacturers, discuss repair solutions, and stay current with the latest industrial technology.
Industrial Repair Service Attends MODEX 2026
On Wednesday, April 15th, Industrial Repair Service attended MODEX 2026, the largest manufacturing and supply chain event in North America. Hosted in Atlanta, the event featured more than 1,000 exhibitors and welcomed approximately 50,000 professionals from across manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and automation sectors.

MODEX is one of the top events for companies looking to improve efficiency, modernize facilities, and explore new technologies. The show floor featured robotics, conveyors, warehouse systems, smart automation, software platforms, and material handling equipment designed to help businesses stay competitive in a changing market.
Representatives from Industrial Repair Service attended to evaluate new solutions, strengthen vendor relationships, and better understand the challenges customers may face as technology continues to evolve. Staying connected to industry innovation helps IRS remain a trusted repair partner for facilities using both legacy equipment and newer automated systems.
A major highlight of the event was visiting FANUC, where advanced robotic systems and collaborative robots were on display. Industrial Repair Service works closely with sister company ARM-Co, a FANUC Authorized System Integrator that supports customers with robotics integration, programming, installation, and automation growth strategies. Together, the two companies offer customers support from component-level repair to full robotic system solutions.
The team also visited Universal Robots, a leader in collaborative robotics known for flexible automation systems used across many industries. Seeing a range of brands and technologies in one place gave IRS valuable insight into the types of systems customers are investing in and reinforced how manufacturers need partners who understand both new technology and the legacy electronics still running many facilities today.
Industrial Repair Service Showcases Services at Wesco Event
On Thursday, April 23rd, Industrial Repair Service traveled to Linden to showcase its services at an event hosted by Wesco.

Representing the company were an account manager and the Marketing & PR manager, who set up a table featuring company merchandise, including koozies, pens, calendars, and double-sided screwdrivers (a crowd favorite). Beyond the giveaways, the real value came from conversations with engineers, maintenance teams, and facility professionals looking for dependable repair support.
Wesco employees showed a strong interest in Variable Frequency Drives and Programmable Logic Controllers repairs. These critical components play a major role in plant performance, and when they fail, downtime can become expensive very quickly.
Many on-site engineers shared a common challenge. If a failed drive or PLC could not be repaired internally, the usual next step was either disposal or replacement through the OEM. While replacement is sometimes necessary, it can also mean long lead times, high costs, and unnecessary waste.
The IRS team explained a smarter option: repair with an off-site partner.
With more than three decades of experience, Industrial Repair Service has repaired thousands of drives, PLCs, circuit boards, power supplies, HMIs, and industrial electronics across a wide range of equipment brands.
IRS also highlighted several customer advantages that stood out to attendees:
- No charge to have a part evaluated by experienced technicians
- Cost savings compared to replacement in many cases
- Faster turnaround than sourcing new equipment in many situations
- Two-year in-service warranty for electronics with indefinite shelf life until installed
These benefits make Industrial Repair Service a practical solution for plants trying to reduce downtime while controlling maintenance budgets.
Supporting Industry in More Ways Than One
While exploring the event, the IRS team also observed other products that help manufacturers operate safely and efficiently. One nearby exhibitor was DRIFIRE, known for flame-resistant and arc-rated clothing used in industrial environments. It served as a reminder that keeping operations strong involves more than equipment alone. Safety products, maintenance strategies, and dependable repair partners all play a role.
