At Industrial Repair Service (IRS), our team members are the driving force behind our continued growth. Each month, we shine a spotlight on an individual who helps shape the company and its culture. This month, we are proud to highlight Jonathan Teague. He is Senior Account Manager at Industrial Repair Service and Vice President of Sales at ARM-Co.

With a competitive spirit, a deep commitment to customers, and a passion for innovation, Jonathan continues to help guide both IRS and ARM-Co. into the future. Let’s take a closer look at his journey and perspective in his own words.

Sixteen Years of Leadership and Growth

Jonathan’s career with Industrial Repair Service began sixteen years ago. Throughout that time, his dedication and leadership have helped shape the customer-focused culture that IRS is known for today.

When reflecting on a milestone he’s especially proud of, Jonathan shared:

“I just celebrated my 16-year anniversary with the company. That’s a long time to go through the thick and thin with anything. Loyalty and trust are very important aspects of my life.

I’m also extremely proud to have been selected as a principal to help lead the charge for ARM-Co. into the next 25 years. Being chosen for this opportunity speaks to what Mike and James believe I’m capable of, and I’m excited about stepping into this next chapter.”

Staying Motivated Through Discipline

Success in sales and leadership requires consistency, discipline, and a strong mindset.

Jonathan recently shared something he’s read that has helped keep him motivated:

Discipline Equals Freedom: Field Manual by Jocko Willink.”

The principles in this well-known leadership book emphasize personal responsibility and perseverance, qualities that align closely with Jonathan’s approach to both work and life.

Outside the Office

While Jonathan is known for his dedication to customers, he also has interests outside of work that many people may not expect.

When asked to share a fun fact about himself, he said:

“It’s probably not surprising that I love smoking meats and cooking for people on our Big Green Eggs, but I’m also a weather and aviation enthusiast.”

The Competitive Mindset

Jonathan credits one simple but powerful habit with helping him succeed throughout his career.

“Being competitive. I genuinely enjoy seeing my name at the top of the leaderboard consistently.”

That competitive drive has helped him build strong performance results, while reflecting the culture of excellence that IRS encourages across its entire team.

A Different Role for the Day

When asked who he would spend a day shadowing within the company, he shared:

“David Detillo. There’s no telling where that guy goes during the day, but he’s at the office early, and I imagine no two days are the same for him.”

Building the Future with ARM-Co.

One of the most exciting developments for Jonathan recently has been his involvement with ARM-Co., IRS’ sister-company focusing on robotics integration. When asked what opportunity excites him most this year, Jonathan said:

“I’m pumped to get this off the ground. The learning curve is what excites me most: new problems to solve and new ways to help customers save money.

I spent a week in South Florida with our engineer, Patrick Gomes (great guy), and we discovered there are an incredible number of opportunities that IRS may not have even approached during its tenure.

As far as goals go, I’d love to be part of FANUC’s weekly marketing campaign featuring one of our robot installations. Spoiler alert: that may happen sooner rather than later. Within the next seven years, we want to be nominated for FANUC’s ASI Project of the Year and be invited to Japan.”

How Robotics Will Impact Customers

Jonathan believes that robotics and automation will play a critical role in helping manufacturers remain competitive and efficient.

When asked how ARM-Co. will shape the future for customers, he explained:

“By providing another outlet for customers to grow and achieve long-term ROI. These types of applications will free up labor so teams can focus on more critical areas.

Robotics are becoming increasingly integral to our daily lives, and starting now allows us to deliver solutions that will sustain manufacturing success in the U.S.”

Looking Ahead

While Jonathan has already accomplished many professional milestones, there are still experiences he hopes to check off.

When asked about his bucket list, he shared:

“Travel to Greece and Japan. I’m sure my list will continue to evolve as life goes on, but my wife and kids have already helped me check off so many of the things that were once on it.”

A Leader Who Continues to Shape the Company

Jonathan’s sixteen-year journey with Industrial Repair Service is a testament to loyalty, competitiveness, and vision for innovation. We hope you enjoyed getting to know Jonathan a little better. We look forward to sharing next month’s spotlight with you. Stay tuned!
