Recap: Ducks 3rd Annual Car Show

At Industrial Repair Service, one of our core beliefs is giving back to the community, and working with Love Kaleb Inc. awards us that opportunity multiple times throughout the year.  

On Saturday, June 22, Love Kaleb Inc. hosted Ducks 3rd Annual Truck, Car, and Motorcycle Show in Dahlonega, Georgia, honoring Kaleb Duckworth, the son of our Electronics Shop Manager, Tommy Duckworth. Kaleb was known as a car enthusiast, inspiring his family to fundraise through an event he would have loved so they could provide for those in need throughout Georgia.  

The morning was a car lover’s dream, with the arrival of unique and rare vehicles, from Harleys to Ferraris. The day was filled with exciting activities, including face painting for children and a thrilling silent auction. Local restaurants served up a storm with their delicious bites, from hot dogs and BBQ food to snow cones and funnel cakes. The sun shone brightly in North Georgia, setting the perfect stage for a day of fun and philanthropy!

Over 35 awards were given to car show participants, but one award stood out from all. A special award was given to someone who owned a vehicle that the judges, Kaleb’s parents, believed that Kaleb would have loved on behalf of the organization. Charles Strickland, the owner of a black Nova, was given “The Kaleb Award,” as it resembled Kaleb’s favorite car in Fast and Furious. 

His family said they couldn’t be more grateful to the vendors, participants, and spectators of the day. They also commended all the volunteers, who they say are more like family than friends.  

“We have been able to do more than we could have ever imagined,” said Amanda Duckworth, Kaleb’s mother, and co-founder of Love Kaleb Inc. “Because of each of you, we have been able to keep our son’s memory alive, honoring him in everything we do. We are eternally grateful. We love you all.”
